LATE REGISTRATION FOR SPRING GOING ON NOW TILL JANUARY 31!
Registration for Spring Lacrosse is still open and if you are a new player you can register without late fees. Returning players will have to pay a late fee of $40. Please go to www.gbyla.org to register for the season.
We are also in need of someone to coach the U15 team here in Vestavia. We have a great group of returning players that are ready to go this season. If you have never coached Lacrosse before that is no problem. The vast majority of us who coached in the past never knew the game at all. Please contact the Vestavia Lacrosse Organization Board if you are interested in coaching.

Quint Kessenich: Like It or Not, Zone Defense is in for 2011
Zone defense is the flavor of the month. Teams that have historically utilized man-to-man schemes have showcased zone defense this spring. What was once thought to be a "less macho" approach is being used by Top 20 teams.

Part one of the Special Situations — Man Down Clear which will focus on how to maintain possession, capitalize on situations where your team is put at the disadvantage with minimal risk.
